Lols what a strange world!
Woman puts house on sale, offers to marry buyer
An
Indonesian homeowner, Wina Lia, has come up with a unique strategy to
find matrimonial bliss. The 40-year-old has put up her house for sale
and also offered to marry the buyer.
Lia owns a two-bedroom home in Sleman, a
district near the city of Yogyakarta. The house comes with a small fish
pond and spacious backyard.
The online advertisement had the house
listed for a asking price of $76,500 but also mentioned a unique bonus:
“Buyers who don’t negotiate the price can ask the owner to marry (terms
and conditions apply).” The ad promptly went viral, with local news
agencies tracking Lia down to check if the claim was genuine.
Interestingly it turned out to be real.
The house owner, according to Coconuts
Jakarta, who is a widow and a single mother, told local journalists that
her realtor came up with the idea after she had expressed a desire to
find a partner again. She revealed that she has had trouble finding a
suitable man after her husband passed away in 2000. Even though, Lia has
gone on a few dates since then, finding the right man has been quite
tough.
“My agent suggested I put up the tagline
‘Buy the house and marry the owner at the same time,’” she said. “And I
agreed to it. I’m looking for a husband anyway.”
“My goal is that this house be sold. But
if I meet another partner, it is important that he be single, whether a
bachelor or a widower, responsible and mature,” she explained.
