KOGI POLITICS: WHY RUMOUR MONGERS ARE AFTER TINUBU

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu: APC National Leader

By Michael Effiong

Those plotting to benefit from the death of  Prince Abubakar Audu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate in last Saturday’s Kogi State Gubernatorial elections are spreading dangerous rumours about APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The talebearers are looking for an opportunity to shoot down the possibility of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke becoming the substantive Governor if INEC decides to conclude the Kogi elections that was declared inconclusive. Faleke is believed to enjoy the backing of Tinubu

“I HAVE NO BILLIONS ANYWHERE!” Diezani Alison-Madueke Insists

Still on the interview with thebossnewspapers

Wow. She must have had a load to get off her chest. Hopefully.
She makes for a careful case study of hubris.
She thumbed up her nose at the Nigerian citizenry and her arrogance and impunity were legendary.
She may yet get her day in court, as many, myself included, wish.
However, for the first time (even though it was authoritatively confirmed to me long before now and long before most people knew, that she was ill) I began to see beyond my utter contempt for her. I actually began to empathise. Those new feelings were prompted by your column yesterday, powerful in all ramifications.
Well, I pray she recovers from this illness – not now because she may then face the justice many, including admittedly myself, believe she deserves, but as a human being. Your column reminded me that I must never lose my humane-ness and my humanity. I was in danger of that, until your powerful words brought me back.
I look forward to reading all about your time with her.
And whether it’s soon or it’s a year or two or more down the line, I’d still like to know more…about what will be left unsaid…
More power to your pen.

Audu’s death:Constitutional crisis imminent

The sudden death of Prince Abubakar Audu, the APC Gubernatorial candidate in Kogi State may actually have led to a constitutional crisis as no one knows what will be the next line of action concerning who will be the next Governor of the state.
In an interview with Mr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN in his view the death of Prince Audu means the election has been invalidated and another election has to be conducted because a party has to field both a Gubernatorial candidate and a running mate.
Agbakoba noted that Amaechi and Bonnie Haruna were alive when the Supreme Court  took its decision in the case of Rivers and Adamawa,  but in this case, the leading candidate for the party is dead.
He noted that the Nigerian constitution at the moment did not make provision for this kind of situation and so it is a very knotty issue.
